Speaking of office views, I think Sharepoint reinforces the very perspectives that open social software is trying to defeat. Sharepoint still uses the mentality that that there must be a controlled scheme organizing data by hierarchical folders/sub-folders system. We know the user really needs to adopt a way to manage their URLs of interest via tags, social search, categories, "most interesting", newest, recently changed, etc.
